Eco-Friendly Weed Control
If you need to treat large outdoor areas with eco-friendly weed control, take a look at our Spuma machines and discover how they can optimise your weed management.
Where Is Spuma Used?
Spuma is used across several industries and for many different applications. It is particularly effective for chemical-free weed control, helping maintain outdoor areas by eliminating weeds, moss and algae. In addition, the machines can be used for cleaning large areas as well as high- and low-pressure cleaning.
Weeds, Moss and Algae
Spuma is one of the most effective methods for controlling weeds, moss and algae. It also works on tall vegetation and invasive or persistent species such as giant hogweed, Japanese knotweed and rugosa rose.
Oak processionary moth
The high temperature of the water kills the “caterpillar from hell”. At the same time, the foam helps bind the larvae, nests and urticating hairs together, reducing the risk of spreading during treatment. This is important because the caterpillar’s urticating hairs are very small and can cause irritation if they become airborne and are carried by the wind.
High and Low Pressure Cleaning
By changing the lance, the system can work as a high-pressure cleaner for cleaning tiles, surfaces and pipes. It can also operate at lower pressure, allowing you to clean more delicate surfaces without causing damage.
Cleaning and Urban Maintenance
The high temperature applied over the correct time interval kills bacteria effectively. This allows you to clean bins, benches, public toilets, playgrounds, road signs and bus stops, while also removing chewing gum and graffiti.
When Is Spuma Used?
Our Spuma machines can be used whenever temperatures are above freezing. In Northern Europe they are typically used in spring, summer and autumn, while in Southern Europe they can often operate throughout the entire year.
Because operators can easily change the lance to add functionality, the machines can be adapted to different tasks depending on the season.
Seasonal Adaptation
Environmentally friendly weed control is usually carried out in spring, summer and autumn, while moss and algae treatment is most effective in spring or autumn.
Cleaning large outdoor areas is needed all year round, so the machines can operate whenever temperatures allow. Cleaning tiles, surfaces and pipes can also be carried out in every season except during frost.
